    Oops!

    oops...

    nitehawk421 sent me a perfectly good rear differential/axle for my buddy's 1985 ytm 200e, great transaction!
    unfortunately I was mistaken, my buddy's trike is a 1984 ytm 200el.
    we've been looking at this and trying to find a way to make it work... but the only option seems to be having someone cut and weld the two different middle drive gears. would this be tremendously stupid?
    do the two different models share the same parts as far as what comes out of the motor? if so perhaps we could get the parts that go from motor to middle drive for the 200ern, and line it up with the 200el motor??
    or would you suggest getting the right part??
    In a pinch... thanks for your help!

    i think they are the same? the L just designates the model year the are both YTM 200E's ....For example
    J=1982
    K=1983
    L=1984
    etc

    no, the ytm200ern middle drive/differential is totally different from the ytm200el the 85ern is a reverse model.
