How to pull a 250es motor? NEW PIC'S

Hi guys just looking for some info on how to pull the motor out of my 86 250es. Ive undone everything, mounts, wires etc but I cant figure out how to seperate the driveshaft from the angle joint (that i dusted, see thread "good friday?"
I thought that the drive shaft was splinned and it should just pull out but I may be wrong. Any ideas?

Pull the rubber boot back and use a large pry bar to slip the driveshaft backwards towards the differential.

BUT!! I am saying this based on the SX, I have seen some Big reds with a solid driveshaft the would require pulling the axle and diff I imagine...

Do NOT pull the shaft out of the engine by the allen bolts, bad thing to do...

I have just restored my 85 BR and when I was taking my BR apart I tried as the manual said to slide the drive shaft back towards the differential but it wouldn't work that way. I finally had to take the whole rear assembly off which I had planned to do anyway.

I agree, and it's not much of a hassle at all. It will go alot smoother if you do it that way.

if i remove the 4 bolts on the drive shaft tube(were it meets the rear end) ant then the 4 bolts on the right swing arm (were it joins to the axle) I should be able to put it apart? Oh also the lower shock bolt removed
