    Leaky Carb? 83 Big Red

I am trying to get a 1983 honda 200E running. This is my first 3 wheeler and I have a question.
My carb leaks gas out of it before I can even get it started. I put gas in the tank, open the fuel valve, went to put a charger on the battery but noticed the carb was leaking. The fuel line is hooked up to the top of the carb and not leaking. It seem the gas is draining out of the overflow and bowl drain. Any ideas what will cause this? Is it suppost to do do it until it get started? My clymers manual says it should have draintubes hooked up to these places but doesnt say if it should constanly drain unless the fuel valve is closed.

Your floats need to be adjusted, they are not allowing the needle to seat properly. There could also be some dirt caught in there, try cleaning it out first.

Had the same problem. I had to get a whole different carb because you can't replace the seat on those ones. Just my two cents.
