just got my 1986 yamaha 225dx tonight, it needs rings, so i want to put a new piston and bore it out. what do you guys recomend i go with? oh yeah, if anyone has a front fender or a rear grab bar, i need em. thanks

as for the boring, i wouldnt do it too much, because if you do, and it blows up or something, you will have to sleeve it. so go as minimal as possible,.

What kind of riding do you do? What's your style? I can tell you more accurately about boring and other mods if I know that. But in most cases, I wouldn't mod the DX internally at all because it's limited by its suspension as far as air and stability. So whatcha gonna be doing? What kind of tires do you plan to run? All of that stuff.
It ain't no fun unless you kin git hurt doin it.
