    ATc 70 axels/suspension

I'm starting an atc 70 front suspension project. What front axel / fork combination works best, or does the axel have to be built from scratch?

You know, I have 2 suspension 70's and I have no idea what the axles are from. I can tell you that one set of forks is from a xr70\75 and the other forks are from an xr80. The triple trees on each are different but would be pretty easy to duplicate. Just some flat aluminum stock with holes drilled in it for the tubes and stem and the pinch bolts and slits cut in the aluminum plates to pinch the aluminum closed around the fork tubes.

you can make a front axle out of 1/2 steel bar and thread the ends for nuts, Mine has XR80 forks and the other one that my friend has are xr75 forks both 27mm dia forks.
