    piston problem

    hey guys on my 125 i was riding it then it died...ok i poped the head off the exhaust side of the piston is F'ed up its melted and the rings are bent (no scratches on the cyl suprisingly!) what would cause that? i had it mixed at 15:1 while i was running it After new crank seals! and is Wiseco or OEM betteR?

    Might be overheating... Check if theres blowby on the piston skirts...

    nope the piston looks P-E-R-F-E-E-C-T except right by the exhaust

    Maybe you had a lot of real bad preignition or detonation (you'd hear it, though). I have nothing to say really. Was the piston original stock?

    As for pistons, Wiseco is way better than OEM and it costs just the same or a little more.
