1985 honda sx i put a new one way bearing in and i still have the spinning sound

the one i changed is on the right side i put a brand new one in from honda thay had one in stock. put it all together and i kicked it over.and i still have the sound and the kicker some times slips so i tried the e-start it rolls over and then it sounds like? well not normal.so took the starter off and the plate all the gears look good spun the motor over and the fly wheel gears look good. do you guys think the one way bearing on the fly wheel side is shot or something ? and i did not have oil in the bike after i fixed it.if that has any thing to do with it. the key was off. i just wanted to check if it was fixed before new oil and filter.

    Here are some possiblities:
    1) You installed the one-way clutch incorrectly ( It should be marked on the one side with " Outside", or something to that effect. If you installed it wrong it would slip ).
    2) The clutch drum is wore out of spec's.
    3) The center gripper part is wore out of spec's ( this is the splined part that fits on the crank inside the one-way clutch ).
    4) Both items ( 2&3 ) are bad.
