Heres some more on the AK 2/47.
The photo's are my wife and I at the SOF convention. Look over my right shoulder and you'll see one of the .50 cal. rifles that I made sitting on the tripod. Its a take-down rifle, the barrel comes out and the stock comes off. Fits real nice in a pack that I had made for it. It has a bi-pod mount that will take a M-60 bi-pod or can mount to M-3 tri-pod. It was a fun little rifle. It had an 18 barrel and weighed 16 lbs. What a muzzle flash! I built a lot of shorty uppers for other people including Shorty AR-15 in .50AE.

Just found this thread. Figured I'd chime in better late than never.
I have an M1 Garand, Mosin Nagant M44, German K98, Norinco SKS, and a Romanian Champion AK47 pistol. Non mil-surp I have a 12ga Nova, 12ga Wingmaster, Rem mod 700 270, Boito 20ga Side-by-side, ruger P95DC, walther P22 w/ walther Laser. Heres a few pics of a couple.

e-Dog, That's a mosin Nagant M44. I Did a PU scope mount and bought a custom turned down bolt and ring pull saftey/decocker (looks like a swiss k31). That thing is a monster! The k31 is one that I will also acquire when i run across the right one in walnut. Lately i have been enthralled with the kalashnikovs. I believe i want a yugo fixed stock or underfolder. For a while I couldn't stop buying different mags for my AK. My Tri-Moto project has cooled that obsession for the time being.

GOt my swiss K31 just recently. Walnut. 1943. found a 1943 sling for it. Bright and shiney bore good gooves. Fun to shoot. Still need a cetme and another AK. AK is still my favorite.
