So what does everyone here have? I have 2 KICKER compvr 12"s and a sony xplod Gtr series 1300 watt class D amp.

the cvr are nice but one thing holding ya back from having the full effect of those subs, that single non ported box. i would trash it, go with the q-logic dual 12'' bandpass box. you will be alot happier with that setup.

My latest system. 2 12'' rockford fosgate xlc's in compression box, with a JL Audio 1000 Watt MONO amp, with a extra battery hooked up to the amp and alternator so it does not drain my battery when the car is off and im bumping my system, when i turn the car on it will recharge the extra batt back.

Yeah I planned on making a custom box then learning fiberglassing from a friends mom to it make it custom but plans didn't work out. and I forgot my amp is also a MONO-block. Is that your car in your avatar? I'm trying to trade these or sell them to get a trike at the moment.

I've got 2 junk ass JL 12w0 series subs in a closed box getting pushed by a Fosgate 300/2 amp. I have the subs setup playing mids also, because I don't listen to many songs that have a lot of bump. I like to be able to hear the entire range equally as loud.

Had: 4 Kicker Comp 15's ran off a Precision Power 2150/ (4) 4-way Pioneer 6x9's off a Precision Power 4200 in one car about 15 years ago.

Last cheapo: (2) 8-ohm 12" Fosgates in a custom box wired in parallel @250 RMS each and 4 top end Sony 6x9's in parallel @130 RMS each off a 1500 watt Fosgate packed into a Celica 2 years ago.

My head unit sucks but it works. its a Dual $80 walmart special. I agree billy i also prefer to hear the whole sound range equally. Thats why I love my technics floor speakers that are currently running off my sony home stereo (not a deck system) good highs lows and mids on demand. I bought the kickers because I HATE TO HEAR BASS! I like to feel it ya know. the only bass i like to hear is like bass guitar in jazz and soft rock cause it sounds damn good.

I have an Alpine deck and CDI carbon fiber components up front pushed by a mid sized alpine amp that I can't remember the model or size? I got a couple of MTX 10’s under there rear seats pushed by a Rockford Fosgate Punch 600.

I would love to have some 12's but there is just no room in an Avalanche.

I bought and installed a new Premier DEH-P590IB deck this weekend for my daughter. It's has the Ipod connection and I must say I was very impressed with it. I am considering replacing the Alpine?

I used to have two walmart 10" pioneers in a bandpass with a 750 walmart pioneer amp. They worked well enough to knock my mirror off of my windshield.

I have a Dual head unit from Walmart also, the $150 one, Dual bandpass box w/ 2 12"s, and a Dual 600 watt amp. A couple of years ago I told the wife and kids I wanted a little more bass than the door speakers could handle, that's whAt they got me for christmas. Does what I want, got pulled about a month ago for too much bass, I was listening to Mark Chesnut.
