If it isn't to pricey rebuild it with a high comp. piston and rings. And a little clean oil and compress the rings to slip it on.

Ok before you buy ANYTHING you need to know if your cylinder has been bored to clean and straighten the cylinder walls up. You might buy a piston that is to small. My advice is to read up on your project before tackling it. Not tryin to sound like a jerk but Just want to see you end up with what you wan twhile saving a headache and wasted cash. The cylinder wil need to be measuerd mith a micrometer to determine what you nee as far as a piston size or bore job, also if the cylinder is straight it still needs to be honed on order for your new rings to seat correctly. As far as putting the cylinder back on you need to compress your rings back onto your piston for them to fit back into the cylinder. The ring gaps also need to be positioned in the right spots also accordin to what the manufactuer warrants. Anyway once you get it all done you will get a great feeling of accomplishment that only comes with gettin greasy and fixing it yourself.![]()
If you need any other advice I will try to answer any questions you have as will most of the guys on here. Good luck dude![]()

Yeah but when motors get rebuilt they shave like ten thousandths of an inch off, it might not seem like much but if it has been done to your motor you need to get the correct oversize piston for your bike. So you should just measure th cylinder to see what oversize it is currently on to determine your options.

Check your rings make sure they're in the right spots (theres pins in the ring grooves that should fit in the ring gap). If it's a 2-stroke cylinder, it should slide right over the piston, if you've got rings set right and have it greased up.
