    Talking Its Alive

Figured out my 84 200x has wiring harness from 85 and 86 200x, somebody did not know what they were doing when they put this together. Valve springs were upside down, sprocket for timing chain in the upper part of motor was on backwards, alot of the bolts are all differant sizes (3 differant sizes on one motor mount for instance). Started playing with it yesterday and I ended up attaching the power wire for the kill switch to one of the wires from the alternator. rode it for a bit, havin new rings and piston sure makes a differance. Thanks for info from ya all.

Sounds like you had a lot of things to correct. Isn't it a great feeling when it finally fires up?
