    looking for extended t3 swingarm

Does any one know where I can most likely get an extended swingarm for an 85 t3? Or anyone who makes swingarms can make one extended from two swingarms?

Go look for a stock 86 T3 aluminum swingarm. They are about a plus 2 inch over stock which is plenty for all around riding.

Or....you could just take yours to a local reputable machine shop or welding shop like I did. I had mine extended 2" and reinforced a little for $100 even. I would have spent more if I had shipped it somewhere.

moose53 here on the boards does an awesome extension job. nice and clean, ready for paint, plus he will sell yo ua nice extended brake line. you dont see any cobjob weld marks, looks really professional. hey bgm...the 86 swinger will work on the 85? and its longer? hmmm, never thoguth about it, but i might just have to be changing out my swinger here for a bit till i get the 86 up and running.

It has a little gap with the 86 bushings and the top dogbone mount needs to be remade in the right position on the swingarm.

Moose53 did my +3. Robin did an awesome job on it and it was well worth the $. I have not mounted it yet but I'm getting close. It looks just like a stock arm but longer.

how much did it set you back to have moose extend your arm? ive been thinking of trying it myself but if i can get it done for a decent price id rather do that.

Send him a PM, I had mine done some time ago so I don't know what he would want now. It was a fair price for fine workmanship. He can also make you up a brake line that will be long enough for the extention.

i believe he can make it any size extension you want, but three is sufficent for the t3 to keep the nose down. unless that is your dragging the bike, then go as long as you want. send him a pm, he'll answer your questions. moose53.

+3 is overkill for anything that is going to be daily ridden as a trail/play/race bike. A duner may want a + 4 and a drag racer would want about a + 6 if your really making good power.
