How Many Board Members Have AirCooled R's?
Hey, lets see them s and what you have done to it!
Edited* this thing was a heap when i bought it, no front breaks, fork springs were crap (2 different ones at that), one fork was bent, an 82 or 81 exhaust pipe and some crappy silencer, missing nuts n bolts, seat fenders and tank were zip tied on, rear master cylinder mounts were gone and a flat bar welded on in its place, no headlight, no kill switch (toggle).....i have fixed all of that then some, but there is still quite a bit of work to b done!

Reason: clairity
The 84 is rather performant - Unknown / unidentifiable pipe and silencer - water-pumper carb - no airbox lid - Boyesen Power reeds - polished reed cage - fresh topend.
The 82 is nearly bone stock.
I love these air-foolers to death - but am still dying for a water cooler!
RIP - Yamahondaman!! You will never be forgotten!
RIP - Sam Brehm!! Gone but NEVER forgotten!
RIP - Sandpuppi101 - You will live on in my mind - I miss you friend!

I got my R back in december, when I got it, it was supposed to only need a top end. Well, long story short, about the only thing on it that hasn't been rebuilt or replaced is the rear shock, which seems to work good. When I finish it I'll make a thread full of pics, but here's a pic from when I bought it.

Awesome thread guys, love the s. Tim, your 84 looks really nice, never seen that color scheme before looks great! Syko, that 300R looks brand new compared to mine, nice! tocheaptosmoke, the white tank looks cool, I might do something like that on my next project. Heres a few pics of 250, and I'll throw in an old pic of my air cooled 480 project I'm workin on now. And before anyone says anything, yes that is an XR200 number plate on there, wanted to go with something a little different.
Two of those pics are the cleanest its ever been, I should wash them more but I'm always so busy its hard to find the time. The tank fins are from Aussieduner, and it's lost those huge tires on the back, its got 18's now a few more weeks and the 480 should be done. Nice trikes guys, keep posting pics!
85 Tecate, 2002 Honda 300EX, 83 & 84 250R, a bunch of honda 4 strokes from 90 to 200cc, a klt 110, ytm 200, polaris 250 cyclone, '05 Roketa 125 (cheap chinese pitbike to beat on), '69 Scrambler 6x6, and a 52 John Deere B (hey its a rowcrop narrow front, that counts right? )
Trike Fest 06 and 07 Survivor, hoping to make it to 2010
