Good chance of a no show for me.

Work happened. I had vacation planned for Thursday and Friday for TF, but I'm being sent to Hawaii for 2 weeks. Wife will most likely accompany me for most of that time and we're trying to work the funds so the kids can come too.

It's not 100% yet, but close to 90% done deal. I'll know more tomorrow.

One thing that I wanted to tell everyone. When you get to Haspin Acres and sign in, be sure to tell them you are there for Trikefest. This way we can get a count on how many showed up. I will try to have a sign there to remind everyone as well.
    Thanks

Guys from Iowa - where to camp

You guys from Iowa asked where to camp. Well, it depends upon what you're driving. You can actually camp anywhere at Haspin, but the most popular area is around the pond. When you pull in and register, if you turn right just through the gate, that will lead you to the popular area. Now, if you don't have 4x4 truck and they're calling for rain, you don't want to camp in the lower elevation down by the pond. You'll never make it out and up the hill unassisted. Try to find a spot in the higher elevation areas. I pull a 32 ft 5th wheel camper with a 2wd Dodge diesel, so I stay up in the main parking lot. That's bad enough getting out of when it's wet. If you have a 4x4 truck and a small or no trailer, TAKE YOUR PICK of places to set up camp. You shouldn't have any trouble getting out if it's wet. Every year I watch people desperately trying to get out, but can't. One year, it was me desperately trying. Now, I'm confined to the main parking lot since I have the camper. Good luck, and just use common sense. The good thing is there is always someone there to help you out - even if Pete has to get on his loader (which I've seen plenty of times).
I'M GETTING TOO OLD. IT TAKES ME AN HOUR AND A HALF JUST TO WATCH 60 MINUTES.

    Camping from Iowa

    Hey thanks Bob,

Some very useful info. One truck is a 4WD with a cargo trailer, but the other is a 2WD Dodge with a camper. So I have this feeling we should be staying in the main parking lot. I really don't care if I had to park 20 miles outside Haspin to tell ya the truth.... I JUST WANNA RIDE!!!! We are counting down the days man. Like I said before this is our first time at TF. We have heard storys on how friendly all the trikers are, so we are hoping for a kick ass time.
