to answer your question, all that corn business is just a front, he hoards it in can form and that in which he eats is regurgitated(sp.) and packed away in barrels...
Then under the dark of night, he springs into action, whipping up the corn tortillas in search of his millions of dollars he plans to make off his new career....
But be weary, his beef is really dogmeat and last time I checked, crawdads aren't shrimp......
