starting 200 auto x project

oldschool im getting a grim reaper in hell painted on it. i will post pics as this stuff all comes together.


levithan i am using a 200s tranny with a bored out 185s cylinder (bored from 63mm to 66 mm) with a 200s head (i need the decompression ) the piston is a 10.25:1 wisceo.

i used a 185 motor because thats all i had since i had a 200x with not motor and a almost complete 185s with a 185 motor...i choose a hybrid

im choosing the stuff i am because is all i have too lol. when i get this thing rolling i want to get a 200x cylender and get it bored to 67mm instead of the stock 65mm.

i would still try and get a 200x topend, you may have heat issues if you use a 185 or 200s top end on there. if you can find a 200x to compare with the s, look at the size difference of the fins. The difference is pretty considerable, imo...

yea there is a bit of a difference in them. i might try to get a x topend. but first i want to get all i need to build the x lol.

the frame was shot man. thats kinda part of the reason i am making a auto x. lol what other parts you need ? ill trade ya parts

whats exactly wrong with the frame bent,cracked or something. mines rusted out

so was mine the whole bottom was out. it rusted out i was kinda mad.

i got my frame and tank today (thanks dale) now i will be spending the next day or 2 taking the old paint off and priming the frame and tank. then the tank goes out for the paint job. once the tank and frame is painted i will start buying more parts if i have the coin.

well guys i came in for a quick break . i got the tank striped down and primed. so maybe next week it will be off to pa where it will be painted. now i will start on my frame lol. there are a few bolts broke off in the frame but nothing i cant handle. i will post some pictures of the tank later on when i come in for the night.





ok as promised. here are a couple pics. they are crappy because it was cloudy and i tryd using a big light.

well today i finished striping and priming the frame. (i will post some pictures when i come in for the night) then all i need to do is find the color red i want. i want a deep red that kinda looks like dry blood. then i can paint the frame and let it harden up real good.

now my question to you guys is how many coats of paint should i put on.

hey man worked on a homemade air box for my filter, might flow less, but will keep mud off of it until i make a sheetmetal one pics are comming

here is my frame with one coat of primer. but i ran out of primer so i started working on the engine and found out the old owner took the tranny apart and put the gears in all wrong so tomorrow or so i will have to take em all out and put them in the rite way.
