i got my rear end bolted together and i was suprized to see my 400ex hubs and 400ex wheels didnt really seem to make it wider looking?

i measured 43" total width. what is the stock width of the 1st gen 200x? i was told it would be wider then this so im kinda dumbfounded, and yes i had the rims on the correct way. i have a stock axle also.
