Lightbulb Tires and rims and pushing the limits.

So I need some new tires and am looking at buyin the largest I can fit for my 84 YTM200. However, since the trike only has 8 inch rims I'm limited to no bigger than 22 inch tires...

My thought are if it would be possible to make a 9 inch rim size tire fit on a 8 inch rim.. I mean, it cant be that much of a difference.. I think all that would happen would there would be a little less tire at the side walls.

Would this work? Anyone ever attempted it? If so I get to jump to 25 inch tires!

Keep the stock size on as far as rim size goes.

I can't beleive you even would think of such an idea, it's downright stupid.

I'm not trying to piss you off but man, that has got to be on the top of the list as far as dumb questions.

I'd stay with the stock tire diameter too, there is such a thing as having too much tire and over working the engine. You want to have enough oomph Brad to pin the tire on occasion.
