lap traffic always makes flat trakkin more interesting too...nice vid...in the first one it looked like a chase but turned into a race at the end...

thumper compete? he's a serious threat on the smaller tracks where me and billy cant whined out, if you get past him your golden, me and him have bumped pretty hard before (bent part of my frame) and im alittle evil on the track as well
He was the one lapping me in the mainReally though he does very good, you'll notice that both times he grabs the holeshot. He almost always does too
From watching the vids of all the races that's been posted, I'd say Walter and his X are very competitive. The torque on those smaller tracks seem to be a big plus, and from what I've seen(on the screen from my chair) his riding ability isn't holding him back any either.
I've seen his pic with the checkered flag on the SFTL website before.

bill are you guys in the southern flat track league... i talk with a few guys on other boards form the southern flat track league... jim (skully) and anoher guy whos name escapes me at the moment... anyway skully races a hybrid lt250R with a Dr.Q lt500 engine and the other guy is building a kx500 powered tecate..
Yup, thats who we race with. I met Skully back in September at my first race, he had the PSI425 TRX there and man that thing was awesome. I haven't seen him around much lately though.
yeah y'all need some t3's running down there...maybe soon!!!
1985 KXT 250 Tecate - kx cylinder, kx ignition, bassani headpipe, answer silencer, v-force reeds, 38mm airstyker carb, +2 franks swinger, raptor rear shock.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "HOLY SH-T, what a ride!"
Itdoes look like a lotof fun. It lookls like it would drain a lot energy from you hanging on to those bikes at that speed in the corners. Your camera man should bring a tripod for his beer next time.![]()

So, what size was the track? We ran 3 tracks last weekend 1/4, 1/3 and a 1/2 mile. On the 1/3 mile we were averaging 70/80 mph on the straights turning 17 sec lap times.
This is supposedly a 1/3 mile track but I don't know how it can be that small. If I recall the open quads were turning 15 something laps and Alan in the main was turning 16 and some change.
