250r vs. 05 Kfx 400 Yoshi. Traction issue's on the R???

My R is coming along nicely. Replaced the Factory Ohtsu's fronts with ITP's new Trac Star went with 23's in the front. Now to rear delima! I had a set of Shredders that are about half shredded

Anyway went to ride with my MX buddy this weekend. Heads up drag race in a grass field with his 05 KFX 400 with full Yosh pipe and jet kit. We raced a half a dozen times and the only time he could catch up was when I let off of the throttle. Although 2nd and 3rd gear creates huge tire spin! Otherwise wouldn't have been close! SO has anyone ridden a machine with I Razr's in the rear ? Or is the Holeshot the way to go gain maximum traction both in grass and hard packed dirt. Those I Razr's a bit pricey.

you either want the IRAZR's or the Razr2's are the best ones. i have them on my 400ex with a 250r motor and they hook up awesome.

I went with the 20's

. They hook up really well. My buddy @ our local Suzuki/Polaris shop hooked me up with the Baja ITP's & the iRazr's.

Should hook up well. I have the razor 2's on my 400 ex and they hook up in anything... I am very impressed with them.

but I have to defintely agree with the Razrs. I currently run them (20's) on my 350 X and love it.

Nice quad, too, btw. SUPER clean

That 250r is Beautiful man...A truly clean bike. Glad to see you have fun with it still too. I just picked up a 450r and I'm still getting used to the new bike feeling but its nice to have nice things eh?

you'll like those rear tires i have them on my 400ex with a 250r motor in it. they hook up awesome but the matching fronts suck

Yeah! I thought the same thing. I did some research on the Trac Stars and yes I know they are a more of an OEM replacement tire but we mostly trail ride and they handle much better than the 20 year old Ohtsu's...LOL..And they are cheap! Bonus

Thanks for the Hook up on the pipe Btw. Still lookin for a set of extended A-Arms for the front. I picked up a pair of 06 450r front shocks to use....
