They've been done, sort of. And yes they are allowed. Most of the stuff Corey Sprock has is done with a group buy system sort of with the pre-orders. If you'd like to start one try the new product sub-forum

The group buy would be for tires, wheels and T/W packages.
I don't want to forward this idea and farther until I talk to the company(s) and see if they are interested, then I'll post it in the product forum like Billy (Thanks Billy!) said.
