    350x aftermarket bearing carrier

I got a 350x aftermarket bearing carrier from ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda...spagenameZWDVW
and after installing, the sprocket bolts don't clear the bearing carrier.

The only other change I made was a axle from ebay, but that said it came off a "1985 Honda 350x".

Take a look at the pictures to see what I mean. Anyone else had this problem? or am I installing something wrong?

The 85 axle/rear sprocket hub is a smaller bolt circle than the 86's. I haven't put mine together yet but i see now that it might cause a problem or two...

Yes, it is made for the '86 only. I'm going to shave down my bolts to see if I can fix it that way.

Here is what the guy from ebay said:

Ok, I just checked the catalogs, and it only fits the 1986 350X. We have it
listed wrong on ebay, I will change those listings right now. If you can't
make it work and want to send it back, I will give you a full refund
including shipping both ways, also you will still get the store credit
    coupon we originally sent.
    Sorry for the mistake.

This happend to my 200x rad carrier too. Probably from years of use it wore down to the carrier and the bolts rubbed. I made a spacers and put it between the sprocket and bearings. And it also needed the break caliper mount to be grinded down 1/8'' to work. But now its fine and everything works good

i have done this on my 85 x...you need to buy an 86 rear sprocket and the bolts for an 86. the bolts are countersunk so they clear the carrier

EDIT: added a pic of mine

Good idea, I went down to Ace Hardware, and picked up some shorter-head bolts. They clear just fine now. This is on a 1985 Honda 350x, with a 1985 350x axle and sprocket.
