    200X tranny problems

My son was riding this weekend and all of the sudden no gears. No slipping no burning clutch nothing. I checked the chain because it happened so fast I THOUGHT THE CHAIN MAY HAVE BROKEN. The tranny still seems to shift into gear but no foward motions. Any body have any idea what happened. Thanks Van.

It's very possible that you indeed blew the clutch. That is where I would start looking.

It is an 85. I have lost clutches before on other bikes and such and there was always some sort of warning. They would usually slip first and you would have less "Pedal". This was no warning at all. What is involve in rebuilding a clutch on a 200x?

my guess is either the clutch plates are slipping or the springs are weak.
