    redoing the blaster.... updated 7.30.07

well i kinda got bummed last weekend when i ended my memorial day weekends worth of riding and noticed the crossmember on my swinger witha huge crack in it. yeahi was getting some good air and getting rather crazy on it. so after rolling it into the garage and contemplating selling it, i decided to do a frame up resto on it. not that it needs it by anymeans. i just got done rebuilding the motor a few months ago, giving it a nice brand spanking new big bore top end. so i started deconstruction lastnight. ordered myself up a nice new stainless bolt kit for it. gonna be getting them nice new custom rear fenders in blue. gota nice metalflake blue picked out for the frame, replacing the swinger, getting a nice new extended durablue axle for it, and some +3+1 extended a-arms as well to make it nice and wide. gonna get some new rims and tires all the way around, and throw on a new seat cover and graphics as well. she will be a looker when done. i will keep yahs all posted as to the progress. damn, got three bikes, and now not a single one is running, lol. woooo is me

anyways heres a bfore shot of it... and the crack in the swinger... stay tuned for progress reports.

    update...6/5/07

well i stripped it down to nothing, cleaned the frame spotless and sanded it up good, sprayed some nice metal flake blue on it, and started peicingg it back together. polished up all my aluminum and chrome parts, and even polished up the sterring stem. sent my swinger out to see if the guys going to replace it or not, if not i will be getting a new snyder motorsports +2. waiting on the new bolt kit to get here so i can replace every bolt with nice new stainless ones. anyways this is as far as i have got. cleaning the motor up tonight and going to slap it in. not much more i can do till parts start arriving.

well after waiting and waiting for the jerk that did my swingarm to get back to me about a replacement, he finally got backt o me saying the swinger was miss used, lol. whatever, i knew the guy would do that. so instead of wasting my time on him anymore and shelling out the cash for another of his cheapo deepo junk swingers, i am going with a nice+2 snyder motorsports swinger. ordering it up today, along with a nice new billet bearing carrier, and my aluminum airbox with 33-36mm carb boot. this project is turning out to cost a fortune for me and taking alot of time because of the cash i have to spend. but it will be one bitching looking blaster when done. will post up some new pics once the new parts are here and on. next i will be ordering up the g-force extended axle, full dg skidplates, and a few other miscellaneous parts.

That will be one wicked blaster when it's done good work man I've got one question for you though the shifter shaft looks a little bent in this picture, are you planning on replacing it.

i noticed that when i redrop the motor in the frame, its not permenantly in there, just mocking everything up, so when i yank the motor back out, i am going to be rplacing the clutch anyways, so i was gonna be looking into the shifter shaft as well. yeah i am aware of it. thing shifts good though, must of been one of them hard landings! :lol
