Dirtbike bars vs TRX quad bars.

this weekend i plan in going to buy a set of handle bars for my auto-x. the other night i was looking at moose carbon steal...cant aford much so 16 bucks for bars is good in my book....anyway.

i noticed thay make TRX quad bars that are 2 inches or so shorter then dirtbike bars. does anyone have these? i think they were 30: wide and dirtbike ones were 32" wide. i dont have oem bars to compare width. i get dirtbike bars i am going to get CR low, because i dont want the bars high.

also are the TRX bends like the TRX250R?

I like the CR high bend, which actually isn't that high.

Nothing better than 400ex bend. Sorry I don't really have dimensions for you.

ok thanks, i am more looked at the moose atv hi bend and its just way to high. i think ill just try the moose trx-quad bend, i dont race and havent riding much but dirtbikes so i dont have a preferance for bends to much. the TRX bend is just a little higher then the CR hi but 2 inches shorter and pulls back 1/2" more.

Your best bet is go to a local bike shop and actually feel the bars and see which one is comfortable for you. You can't alwyas go off looking at a picture

Sport trikes have a really high bar-mount position, so you're probably better off with motocross bars (CR Hi, YZ bend, etc). I've noticed that dirt bike bars come REALLY wide from the factory, at least the Moose steel ones do. I had to cut off an inch or so on each side when I replaced the bars on my YZ80 with Moose YZ bend bars. They were pretty comfortable but they had a little too much pullback for my taste. I've heard that CR Hi are pretty popular...
