    Just bought an 1982 250r Honda (bad news)

    Hello my name is manuel i just bought an 1982 Honda 250r and my cousin was riding it and he did something wrong when he was shifting and then the chain jammed but we got that un jammed but then the rear sprocket popped off the little disc looking thing with four bolts. If u dont know what im talking about its the thing that keeps the sporcket from moving well then we put it back on but that didnt work and then we looked at the thing that the sprocket was and it was bent. Do you guys know any where i could go to get it fix I live in Hillsboro, Oregon in the USA. My e-mail is Bawller88@aol.com please need HELP!!!

    sure do bro. now that the sproket is bent ull need a new one and what holds the sproket on is a little clip that goes around the inside of the sprokets edge. like what holds a piston and wrist pin to the rod. you should be able to pic one up really cheap

    The sprocket isnt bent its the thing that holds the sprocket so it doesnt move when your riding do u know wut im talking about. Ok u have the two tires and u got the bar connecting both the tires together and the tire on the left is where the brake disc is and the to the right of that is where the little disc thingy with 4 bolths sticking out and then the sprocket slides on to that the thing that the sporcket sits on is bent its not the sporcket the sporcket is perfectly fine its just the thing that it sits on so it doesnt move when your riding.

    ok i see now. well youll need another one if its bent or if its stripped out. look on ebay and talk to someone on hear cause they have all kinda parts for rs. ive got 2 parts bike but they are 83/84. 83 is for parts. but if the clipthat holds the sproket isnt damaged then all u need is the sproket carrier

    Aight thanx man so I should just check on e-bay cool thanks a lot it kinda sux that already bent i just got it yesterday but it was used. Oh well thats the only thing wrong with it it runs good and everything i just need a sprocket carrier thanks man.

    i dont know if thats the tecnical name for it sproket carrier but check on ebay. look for 81/82 250r and u might find somthin

    i think it is the technical name because im getting results but not for the 1982 honda 250r hey a 1981 sprocket carrier would work to ???

    yeah cause it is the same style 250r. they changed the styles 3 time 81/82 then came 83/84 then 85/86

    Try www.bike bandit they have parts schematics for you to look at if they cover that model it is a great site for parts breakdowns. Josh

    Hey I went to bikebandits.com but they didnt have any sprocket carriers does anyone know if thats wut its called sprocket carriers the thing that the sprocket sits on is that called the sprocket carrier because whatever the sprocket is sitting on it's bent. I get the sprocket on there but after like 10 seconds of driving it it pops off because the sprocket carrier is bent so i need a new sprocket carrier if thats wut u call it. DOes anyone know where i could get one???
