The valves in those machines are made of solid nitrous oxide, so when you run it they slowly melt and cause the engine to produce nice amounts of horsepower.

Stock Xr200's are so tame that it would be hard to NOT make a competitive bike and have it faster.

The xr200 motor has been around forever, and its also one of the most copied 4 stroke motorcycle designs. They only make about 9-11 horsepower on the peak. Give the copycat builders enough time and they can easily improve on that to some degree.

Still...Drag racing Xr200's and comprable bikes is kinda like sending retarded kids to graduate school......

For a 200$ bike its a steal especially if it turns out solid dude, make no mistake. How does the thing jump? Frame of good quality? If it works it works

xr200's are like gold for most trailriders out here because the trails are so bad, unless your a good rider and in real good shape anything more can be a bit of a handful. However, they are what they are...a good little trailbike. The Crf230 looks like the latest incarnation and is said to be a decent little bike that improved on the older machine.

Theres some kids up the street from me that have a set of chinese pit bikes. They ride them almost every day all day and they seem to ride pretty well.

A kid I played paintball in highschool had a 125 or a 150 or somesuch chinese bike. They were tooling around at the local riding spot one day and I swung a leg over it...granted the thing was abused horribly, but what a pile! The bike wasnt able to pull my 170lb frame outta 3rd gear and was bottoming out off whoops I can take my atc250r through wide open in 6th....

Sure did keep the mosquito's away though! I still see the kid on it occasionally and it has an ever increasing knock of explosion.
