    help w 350x clutch

    i just put a brand new clutch inmy 85 x and having problems. it is not engaging at all. the rod just moves freely. what does it hook to? i dont think i lost any peices.. i cant find a diagram either so if anyone has one thqt woukld help me out alot. thanks

    in side your clutch basket there is a washer that fits the splines if it's out of place this will happen. I just did it on a r motor a couple of days ago

    pull the clutch cover off you might of lost the push rod thing that goes from the pivot to the basket
    80s......185 atc, Yamaha tri-moto 200, 85 200x with tons of work
    90s......89 Suzuki quad racer 250 (raced 250 A class for 6 years, late 90s.. custom framed 250x with long travel shocks and a built 350x motor.... built Honda 110
    00s...... chomeoly framed 350 RX with all the goodies (thanks to my bro)
    2012.....Replaced the 350x motor for a 444cc YZ426

    nice post...the piece i was thinking it might be is #10 in the clutch pics

    yeah i lost thje rod that goes from the basket to the other rod that the cable hooks too. i guess im gonna have to go sort through the parts motor i got. thanks for the help.

    I did that today while putting my 350x clutch in. I did not see that part fall out when I removed the cover. I finally found it and it was the #10 part from the diagram above. That push pin also acts as a dowl to keep the arm in the cover.
