    sprocket question

will a sprocket off a 84 250R bolt onto a 85 200x sprocket hub ? also if i want speed i want a smaller rear sprocket dont i ? im thinking of running a 12 or 14 front sprocket. i know the engine will turn it no problem.

well within the next week i hope to have a rolling chassis. it all depends on when my parts start coming in.
down to parts because i no longer have a place to ride trikes.

Yep, less teeth in the back = more speed.

If the 85 is the same as an 86 yes and no. I have a sprocket off a 250r i believe. You have to grind down the back of the sprocket to fit the little washer thing into the groove. But yes it can be dont, i used a 15 tooth for mine.

I love the 15 tooth. I have 20'' rear tires and the rear sprocket is a 38. Its alot better than the stock 13/38, and theres still plenty of power to go anywhere.

Sounds like the 200X was undergeared from the factory.

Either that or that Pro-Circuit pipe actually DOES something!

Well yeah it was geared way to low stock. It did fine with the old cobra too but it does seem to have a little more torque now. Though it could be my imagination it really does seem to have a tiny bit more power now that i rejetted it and got a new filter and all.
