    250r Rebuild Update

    I got everything apart this morning. Just from looking the cylinder is in good shape, its not scored or overheated. It appears that there is a little cross hatch in 1 area, but i could be wrong. Im going to take it up to vo-tech school tonite and mic the cylinder for taper and out of round and see what i get. The piston appears to be in good shape as well. I have yet to determine if it is a factory piston, but it should be. The crank has side to side play but no front to back play so all is well with that, thank God. Once i mic the cylinder I'll post again to give another update.

    Well, i didnt get to mic the cylinder last nite, but I have determined that it is the original piston. I might pick up the tools this weekend to mic the cylinder or just wait till Monday and do it then. Im hoping all it needs is a honing.
