    Question Tri-z Base gaskets...

Hey guys, I am having some problems here. I love my tri-z, I have the rare long rod kit with the spacer plate also head is shaved it hits at 240psi of compression thing when its on look out it rips. But I can't keep a set of base gaskets in it and they are not going in the same spot like a high or low spot last weekend pushed my bottom one out and sucked top one in. I have ran the cometic, varshes, and oem yamaha, had someone tell me before I have too much compression I need to run a aluminum cut it yourself set up anyone ever heard of this? any other suggestions? I am keeping headgaskets no problem just base gaskets getting sick of tearing down to just have the same thing happen again makes me want a new yz250 engine.

    Thanks guys

240 is too much ... it isn't that anyway ... you have too much crank case volume for that OLD Cyl. ,, after TF07 send it to me ... i have a CNC Lathe base-head clean up program ... flatness withen .0002 ..
also you might want to try the YZ Gasket .. it's MUCH Better than all the ones you have listed ... Part # is at the house .. i'll post it when i get home

You could also contact Commetic gasket about there foam metal gaskets. It is a thin steel gasket that is foam rubber coated. It wont blow out and will work when others fail.

McMaster Carr also sells some really interesting bulk gasket material that is actually a really thin rubber sheeting. It takes more heat, and holds more psi then the normal "paper" type gaskets. You'd have to trace it out and cut it yourself though.
