At The Back Of The Pack

Can someone tell me how it's supposed to work ? It has a cable that goes to the handle bars and then a lever on the side of the carb with a spring on it that holds tension against it. Can I take the cable off and just use the lever on the carb? or do I need to buy a new cable?

unless you get a choke from a 200x carb, you will need another cable in order to close the choke without holding it
