OK - I am posting this early to see if there is any interest in taking a ride up Mt Wahington which is the tallest peak in the northeast. This is an easy slow ride with the NHATV club so no pikes peak style runs up the mountain. This is only offered to large groups and you basically need to go with a club. I am a NHATV member, but you do not have to be a member to go up.
This wouldn't take the whole day, so i would throw out the option to do some hard core ripping at the berlin trails in the afternoon. Only thing you need is a drivers license and a registered trike/quad to go up the mountain (oh and a ticket). It would be nice to get a few trikes going up there in a line. A few guys on here already indicated interest, so there will be at least 3 of us going. I figure this will not be offered for ATVs to go up in the next few years.
Heres the details from the www.nhatv.com site:
Mt Washington Hill Climb on Sunday July 29 at 9:30. The ride cost $20.00 per ATV with an additional $7.00 charge if you carry a passenger. You must have two-up ATV to carry a passenger. Mt. Washington Ride requires a ticket. No one will be allowed up without a ticket. Tickets can be obtained at the base of the mountain in the parking lot between 9:00am and 1:00pm. Anyone that shows up after 1:00pm will NOT be allowed up the mountain even if you have a ticket (no exceptions). Anyone that pays in advance and for whatever reason does not get to go up the mountain will not get a refund. There will be Hamburgers and hotdogs available at the bottom for a small donation. You don't have to be a member. Helmets are not required, but recommended. You must be at least 16 years old and hold a valid drivers license. No riding double, except on a two person atv. ATV must have a valid registration sticker.
Anyone caught riding off trails, tearing up trails, racing, doing donuts, not following rules, etc. will have their membership with the NH ATV club cancelled.
Let me know what you think - we can plan a day around it.![]()
