    Tri-z question?

    I just bought an 1985 tri-z. I have a couple questions.
Its bored .40 over, fresh piston rings. dg pipe. k&n filter.
What is the best ratio to run my gas oil mix? I have no idea to even the reccommended ratio. I will be running 110 octane gas.

also, I havnt really looked yet, but how do i tighten the chain.

Sorry if this has been posted somwhere else and I missed it.
    thanks alot.

This should give you all the info you need:

    http://www.files.3wheelerworld.com/Manuals/YTZ250N.PDF

You're gonna get alot of answers on the gas-oil ratio question, beleive me I already have Reccomended is 20:1 with yamalube R type two-stroke oil. I run mine at 32:1 and am going to see how it does (just got mine running). I'd say use a high quality oil, and some guys run synthetic oil at 50:1. But with 110 gas, not sure which ratio you should use...

Theare are four bolts on the rear axle carrier and two adjusters to tighten your chain. Loosen the four bolts, adjust, and re-tighten. But look through than manual in the link above, lot's of good reading

With a top of the line synthetic oil you can run as lean as 52:1 if you want. I run my 250R at 40:1 with Klotz Super Techniplate and 100LL Aviation fuel.
