should turn out great. might build up this 300r motor in another frame and get it going.

looks like a dg pipe, my rear motor mounts are aluminum, and the 300 well..... goo luck finding rings, the pistons are still floating around but rings are about imposable to find, you can use a used head gasket just reaneal it, or use a fl350 head gasket or you can contact this place http://www.qande.com/ they can modifie the cyle to use an updated liquid cooled piston with it. Sucks working on a 300 but they rule when there running!

Humm, well the piston has rings on it. not sure why it's apart. I think what i should do is get it together and try to run the motor. see how she does.
Is there that much of a difference running the 300? I'll have to try that FL350 gasket. is that what others use? can i not get a machine shop to cut out a thin copper gasket and then add some thin layer of copper cote to it ? or it'd blow out that quick? do others use the FL350 gasket?

    Thanks, Howard

I few people have used them with good luck, all you need to do is just have a clean surface yolu dont need nothng special to go on the gasket, the 300 makes one hell of an improvment power wise over the stock 250 cyl, its got mor comp, better porting and the last thing ITS BIG! mine will be on the last bore now, when it goes out, I plan on using grande to go back through it and make there mods to it I love my 300 its good wicked insane power, and it was running on half piston!
