    Question Anyone Use PERMATEX Form-A-Thread???

I just bought a Kawasaki Mojave 110 in great shape for $50. It has 2 problems, a stripped spark plug hole and supposedly no spark.
I did a search here and besides the helicoil I saw a Permatex Fix-A-Thread. It's real cheap and says no drilling so I thought I would check it out.
I'd like some input from those that have used it.

I have a tube but never used it. I just don't trust it, but it may work great. I always opt for the helicoils...

Can you tell me how it is supposed to work? Do you squirt it in the hole then use a plug to make the threads?
I've never had to fix a messed up thread.

I imagine it's a 2 part epoxy with a release agent. If I can find it I'll post the directions. Remember, if that crap doesn't work it will fall into the cylinder and valve area. I wouldn't use it in that application. I'd grease the hell out of a helicoil tap, tap it and then flush the topend. That would be a safer permanent repair. About 45$ for the kit....

From what I have read on diesel and other sites that stuff work pretty good. I have never used it though.

if you use the permatex, you should do a rebuild of the engine and use the permatex while the engine is apart to see if it works and so nothing gets in the engine, a rebuild would be a good idea anyway if you got the quad for $50
