New to the board

when i kick over my 86 250r, i get spark.....sometimes
i am only getting spark on like every third kick. i checked for loose connections, my flywheel is fine and my plug is not fowled!
if anyone has an idea, please help me out . this ones gonna kill me if i dont solve it soon!!!

My friend is having the same problem with his 85 right now. His was the cdi. He's some specs to check to help you narrow it down.
ignition coil---primary coil resistance 0.16-0.2 ohms
---secondary coil resistance 3.69-4.51 ohms
(without spark plug cap)
Exciter coil resistance--- 50-250 ohms
pulse generator coil resistance--- 50-200 ohms
lighting coil resistance--- 0.1-1.0 ohms
ac regulator---regulating voltage 13.5-14.5 V
---resistance 100k ohms

If the trike is running fine I would not worry, I have 3 250R'S and they all do that. I had my bro kick my 85R over for me ( i thought the spark was my problem but ended up being bad carb) in a dark area and mine would only fire every 2nd or 3rd kick so I checked my 86R that runs like new and it did the same thing. Makes no since to me because it will fire up 1st kick just about every time.
