    Exclamation first post,first project

    hello all
ilove the forum, i scored this 185s on a trade for a gocart. when i got itit had flats and was missing the coil wire, heres a tip u can use a coil off all these bikes for the 185s and they will run suzuki ds 50, yamaha trail 70,honda cr 125 and the one i used because it fit in the area where coil goes is a honda pa50 moped now these are all off 70s and 80s bikes.

im in my thirtys and i have never rode a three wheeler before thought they were dangerous. well im hooked now, there great but i got the 185s and any
one that has rode one knows no suspension sucks! so take a gander at this

its all most done i just need three links to make the chain longer and i have to alter the exhaust.

i do need some parts if any of you guys got some i need a 200x front end but im not sure if im limited to certain years? and i would also like to put a 200x chain roller but havent seen one on ebay yet.

p.s if u choose to do this to your 185s or 200s i sugest that you choose a swingarm that just attaches to the frame with the chain adjustment on the rear by the axle it will be so much easier for u.

    Hey bud, welcome to 3WW!!!

Nice work, can you still get the stock airbox and intake boot in there? If you can, post the details and the year/model of the conversion you have. It will help out some of the other guys here that would love some suspension

    hello all
well it is a 81. i am hooked already looking for more trikes. the shock and swinger is off early 80s 200x i believe not sure just had it laying around. i was gonna just strip the motor for a trail buggy i made, but i had to ride it and here i am.

the 200x front will fit on 185s and 200s just dont know if im limited to a year range like 82-84 or wat. i hate the look of the big front tire so the 200s suspension front is out.

no the air box wont fit in its original place,so my plan is to move the mounts for it back a couple inches maybe extend the air hoses with radiator hose.

Ha ha, that's what happened to me, this damned forum! If not for you guys, I wouldn't be familiarizing myself so well with a tri-z! But luckily I'm running out of room so that will limit me somewhat

82 185s had the chrome small gas cap. Looks like a swingarm off a 200x. Shouldn't be too hard to weld 200x frame bits to a 185s or 200s frame. Or find a 185s suspension kit. Looks good. Welcome to the site and keep us posted how your conversion works out. You will need to use a 200x exhaust and maybe you might want to us a K&N filter with one of those outerwear sleeves on it for a filter.

    hello all
    its been a while but im back. working at it for a while and i am at the end of the build i just need some nuts and bolts,i lost a few during the build. can you still buy the axle bolt and nut for the swing arm new? rode it for the first time today suspension works great i think the shock is blown though but i will ride it like this for now. the exhaust i mangled i was drunk one night and added some pipe to make the exhaust sit under the right side of the fender but i put the pipe on the outside of the bike. i know BIG F*** up!!!! { will fix later}

i still need a swing arm bushing i cant find them anywhere new or used any one got one they can spare?

is the axle set up off th e 185s worth any thing or is it common?

i also want to get a 200x front end i will have to piece one together off e bay shouldnt be to hard.

its about to be the rainy season in michigan and i will do alot of grass riding and the knobby tires i have on the bike wont slide,so could i throw on a set of 8inch turf tamers from a riding lawn mower on these 185s rims so i can do some sliding around and when it snows i will put the knobby's back on will this work has any one used these tires?

I have a 1982 185s runner and a 1983 200x project bike, i had the same idea that you did about the front suspension, and the x front end doesn't fit the 185s, not sure about r front ends, trike parts are somewhat rare up here... hope this helps some.

He's correct I try'ed this with my old '81 185s, and the shaft on the tripple trees that goes through the neck is just alittle to over-sized. I was going to try and take a dremel to it to open it up more, but I didnt want to end up with some POS I couldn't use in the end.
