how many ppl got a Tri Z big bore

I was one of the people who orderd the Tri Z big bore kits from Corey Sprock. How many people received theres? How do they run? What carb/reeds/gearing are you running.

I did not receive my big bore yet and i havent been able to contact Corey for about a week now.

    I am running a

    39mm PWK (190jet)
Vforce3 reeds (are in the mail)
    plus 8inch swing arm
    plus 4 axle
    Zinger tank
    Drag bars
    15 front sproket
    40 rear sproket
    on 18x10x8 turftamer w/ beadlocks
One of maybe Two Matt Shearer outta frame custom drag pipe

Currently a 86 powervalved YZ engine with Tri Z side case.

My times are pretty high like 8.8-9.0 (pretty slow) at the 500ft drags..... hoping the big bore will get it down the track a little faster.

I was the first one to get a kit.It runs real good.I have yet to find a quad to beat me,And I have also beat a sled powered trike a cbr 650 powered blaster, and A 310 Atc 250R, A TRi-z with a built yfz 450 engine in it and A Xr600 powered 350x andA yfz 450 that was heavily Modded.I ride and own modded Banshee's and they dont stand a chance in 300 feet.Your mods are a good start.I run on 110 race fuel With a 40-1 Castor 927 mix.
I run the V-force 3 reeds,Plus 4 swinger A Dg pipe Full system,13- 43 gearing.I am running the lowest compression dome he offers with the coolhead. So I could actually get more performance.
My jetting is PWK 39 mil carb With a 175 main jet and a 52 pilot and needle set to the middle posistion. As far as times in 300 feet,I have yet to get an official figrue but what I have calculated is low 5 second passes.
As far as reliability,The motor is holding together fine. However,I have already toasted a set of clutches and my sprockets are whipped after about 10-15 hours.

I broke in the motor in and started ing on it HARD.

You will be more than happy with it.I would suggest a outframe pipe if your running strictly drags.I opted to keep mine somewhat trail worthy for now.

Yea im running VP 114 seems to work about the best.... my buddy experimented with some oxy- gen fuel and saw no improvment.

Happy to hear the good report on the big bore.

But does anyone know whats up with Sprocky??

Also Matt Shearer built my drag pipe for the big bore cylender so they two should really work out nice................wish i woulda got a silencer tho.

I know Sprock has been extremely busy lately. I talked to him this week, he said the pistons are on back order, and should be in by the end of this week.

i have 1 also ...am wating for another from cory ..the pistons are on back order for them but i think he said he had several ready to be fitted then shipped out ...

mine is running better all the time . been tuning and playing with gearing and it just keeps getting better .. i have never been so impressed by a single under 370cc as i am with this engine .. i am running a 39.5 ftz alky carb , ftz drag pipe , v force 3 reed cage, 15-40 gearing and a 22 in tire .plus 6 swingarm with a bar ...swingarm is way to short for this bike needs at least a +10 ...going to gear it up some more to probally a 15-38 ....but it runs very strong ..

the empregnated fuel will make alot of difference if you re tune the carb but i like alky ..comparing it to other bikes well i wont go there but i will say that the only thing locally that i havent been able to beat is a raptor with a 1000cc fzr crotch rocket motor and he got me by less than 2 bikes ....i have been running mine every where that i can locally hear lately and have been just playing havok on the 350 and up 2 stroke classes as well as open classes ......250cc class bikes around here dont even compare to this bike and dont think there is a bike under 350cc ( single cyl ) without nirtous in the midwest that can touch it ....... .........you will be happy with it trust me .........would like to see a pic of that shearer pipe !!!!!!!!!
