Haha. I hear that! I freaking love this setup. Its unlike anything I have seen on a Z. All the more reason!

Man thats a sexy front end! The ITP 489 tire just doesn't belong on a trike so nice as this though. A 10 inch Raptor 700 Dunlop would look sick.

    BG thats the latest plan.

I was able to score a really nice 86 tri-z front end from FactoryX. So now the fun begins. Hopefully this ten inch rim buy gets rolling. I can get a rim. Get a 250R hub and turn it down to fit the rim. Mount it all up and mock the brakes up and alter that if need be. Then I could get that tire you speak of. Since we are a yamaha dealer I have been drueling over that sneaker. I want one!

I do like the 489 ever since I seen one on Mosh's BB Z.

I had a 489 on the front of my T3. It was heavy is the only complaint besides it looking totally out of place.

Got the sprock basket installed. Waiting on my clutch plates and fibers. Overall it was very easy to intall. I simply threw this in the CNC calc'd out my bolt hole circle for these rivets and set the depth and milled them off. Then with a punch and just drive out the old rivets. Lube up the isolators and stick them in the new basket. Bolt up the basket with RED loctite and she is good to go. Waiting on the crank from sprocky, waiting on the big bore to come back from porting. Come on guys!!!! Cant wait. Pipe just got sent out for ceramic coating.

New Boss, New Pressure plate, New bolts and lock washer for boss.

    Few questions.

Finally nearing completion. Its WAY OVER DUE. Ya I know. Waiting and a little more waiting.

    Things yet to do:
-Install Motor - finally done! thanks to Corey!
-Install freshly rebuild stator from RickyStator
    -Wire lights
    -Install exhaust
    -Install chain
    -Finalize footpegs and powdercoat
    -Wire pro-design tether

    Couple of questions...

I am running what is aparently thought to be an answer or phasefive racing pipe. I am for sure running a answer equalizer silencer. Is this the correct mounting position? What about this lower tab on the exhaust?

When wiring the kill switch, Pro-design states, the short wire goes to chassis ground. Where is chassis ground on a tri-z? Also, connect the long wire to the positive side on the ignition coil. One would assume the side the spark plug wire comes out is the positive side???

Last question. The light pig tails. Which is power - hi, power -lo, ground?

for that exhaust, it looks like a dg silencer to me...I have always bought the OEM rubber mount that goes back there.

Ground is a loop end connector that you bolt where the igition coil mounts to on the frame.

I think the orange wire is the positive wire, since the coil grounds to that ground loop and the frame all in one. The orange wire comes out of the cdi so i think that has to be the positive side telling when the coil to fire.

Black is ground for the pigtails. Pull the big round cover back and the one wire that does not go to the bulb socket is the ground. I forget which one is high/low at the moment, let me go check.

IF YOU READ THE FING MANUAL you would know that yellow is high, green is low, and black is ground.
