The silencer is answer. I took the equalizer decal off. I shortened it up a bit cause previous owner abused the use of sheet metal screws to hold it together.
EDIT: Mike I have that rubber mount brand new. Here is a dik grabber pipe in comparison.

Got my stator back from Ricky Stator today. WOW. This thing looked like 25 year old dog crap when I sent it off. Can't simply be beaten for $125. All new wire, all new connectors, new bolts, glass beaded, everything rewound. Top notch work. Couldn't see building this trike and not redoing the stator. Hope she works as good as she looks.
