Jeff, nice work with that exhaust connector

Why can't I send you some .250 6061 for this mount issue?? Why are there limitations??

Is this the one you needed about .1875 for (in that area) ?? Whats is in the way?? Can I mill down just a small area o the thickness you need??

I'm thinking this is a different issue, I'm not sure.... You are welcome to any material I have to share

Hmmm- gap one one side, not the other? so that BOSS on the cool head is apparently not centered (someone needs to rewrite a CNC program ) because those are straight (one plane) plates correct??

2 flat plates with a stainless washer inbetween to take up the loss?? Whats the loss 1mm - 2mm?? Is that an 8mm 0r 10mm bolt? I have various thickness aircraft washers in stainless, more 8mm ID than 10mm - your big lower mount may be 10mm??

Steve, I may need to go .250. If thats the case. I already have the material. It just seems too thick. But hey whatever I guess. This is the same thing we talked about.

Been there done that. Motor doesn't budge. Put the stock head on. It lines right up. This is a Sprock head issue...

I just bought a piece of 3/16 thick aluminum on ebay. I will just have to make my own engine mounts. That's all!

It is NOT a Sprock head issue..
It is a Bigbore jug issue.

There is near .070" combination, taken off the top of the jug and bottom of the jug to get the port timing correct.
This lowers the jug, and the head.

The heads bolt up OEM on the 250cc engine..
Do as Raffa says..Slot the oem mount brackets with a dremmel and loosen the other bolts.
They will line up, and you will never notice, the slotting you did to the top brackets.
You have to slot all 3 holes about 1/16th of an inch each.

    I did it on mine.

    Thanks Rob. That makes sense.

I need to get an air filter like yours. Or I need to get creative on this intake!

    Smile open er up

Yeah just slot the holes a bigger a little bit at a time. You won't see any imperfection as the washers will cover the holes. I also noticed my KX125 head mounts have fair sized slots which is stock on that bike.

yeah when you have the big bore kit you need to do a little work on those mounts. If you had told sblt500r he would have taken care of it when he made them for you.
