I have something bigger and better planned for this air intake but I am waiting on some parts to make it happen. In the mean time I have devised this. I used the stock airbox boot but reversed it. The problem with running a PWK 39MM is that the bell is 2.4375 or 62MM. Not many air filters fit it and forget about buying any silicone adaptors to fit it. Oddly enough the stock boot fits it like a glove when reversed. Leaving the other side 2.250 or 57MM. From there I used a piece of 16 guage 304 stainless exhaust pipe 1.250 in length to adapt a UNI filter on. It fits perfectly under the seat. Just need to relocate the overflow bottle now.

Purchased these prototype guards from Marco / Hagen / Greenboy here on the boards. Wanted something different. Every screen/guard I bought the pins were half worn out. These look killer.

    New Radiator cap too.

Why bother if this intake setup is only temporary?

Guys I am looking for the diameter of the lower chain roller? I purchased a 38MM roller or a 1.5 inch roller and it appears to be too large??? So I need to know what size to get. My original was not present when I purchased the trike.

Well I spent pretty much the whole day kicking this thing. That big bore motor has my leg feeling ready to fall off. I got it to run for about a minute and a half. Then it shut off and gas came flowing out of the vents on the brand new PWK 39...

I have good spark (provided by a freshly rewound rickystator)

I have fuel (Sunoco 110 OCT mixed 40:1 with Klotz ST)

I have the fuel lines run correctly. (all brand new grey tygon line)

I have a NOS fuel pump.

    I have a sprock intake.

I have the vacuum line hooked up properly with a hose clamp on the barb.

I have the kill switch on run ( yes I have checked spark both ways.)

I am running a 55 pilot, 170main air screw at proper setting per manual.

Tried brand new spark plugs (B8ES)

I have even tried putting a little gas in the cylinder... NOTHING...

    Geez that blows bro!

You say gas came pouring out the vent lines of the carb?! Did you have to shut the fuel off to get it to stop? Is it still doing this when you open up the fuel shutoff?

Be careful with that .. if too much fuel builds like that it could in the engine and seep down into the crankcase.

The 1:30 you had it running - how did it sound/look - excessive smoke? Sound pingy like a 125cc or a lazy sound?

(wait - this is not a honda engine - maybe I should shut up as it might not have the same principal makeup as a Honda)

Regardless - I hope you can work out this lil engine gremlin asap ... that bike needs to be running! Work of art!

Just to try, I'll throw it out there ... up to you.

Take plug out - hold throttle open and kick it over 20-25 times. Turn on the fuel long enough to get the carb bowl about full & shut the fuel back off. Put some gas or starting fluid down the plug hole and then install a fresh new plug.

Try to start it and see if it makes an effort.
