yep yep.. when your ready.. you gonna have to find something to slip over the bolt to help re inforce that right side case around that steel incert..ya know...

also if you get it out of the left side case, you could heat the alum. around the other side incert and drive that out with the bolt..

Yes i am going to design a fixture to hold the engine. I may try to heat it just a bit with some map gas and soak it a bit. Then try to drive it out.

Take off the clutch cover and whatever guts you need to, your gonna go through the motor anyhow? Set it up on parallels on a milling machine and have at it.

Thats how I'd deal with it anyhow.......

Had sometime at home this weekend to tinker on the Z project. Went down to the ducati dealer near me who used to be a dealer for alot of assorted companies. Most importantly aftermarket companies. Scored some cool oldschool decals. Raffa you like the vintage dynoport decal?

Decided to build a TRX250R thumber to pull a big carb. All the guts inside are brand new OEM, bushings, spring, and that funky cam linkage they use in there.

Scored this as well recently. NOS handlebar switch for the Z. Also redid the harness with all new connectors, plug wire and spark plug cap.

Also scored this as well. Looking to trade possibly for other Z parts

I also had some time to shoot some powder and blasted up my Z's spring and shot it in some epoxy gloss red. Came out nice!! I decided to go with a white stock swinger with my red frame and black plastics. I might even put some westcoast decals on it. I also whipped up a galfer brake line at work. At the dealership we got all the goodies to make up anykind of brake lines. Lastly I got to thank X.SYSTEM - Jim! Sweet bushings man. I will be using this instead of bearings and bushings. Thanks man!

Eric thanks bro. I have been just crankin parts out here and there. Doing my own blasting and powdercoating sure helps. Along with working part time at a dealer and getting dealer cost its the only way workin on these relics is economically feasable without sinking thousands into it. That shroud was an early AM ebay score. You dont want to know what the BIN was? Lets say it was cheaper than one person can eat at Mcdonalds for....... Anyhow i dont have the other side. Just one in the wrapper, stapled shut. Haven't opened it myself. I really dont have a clue what i want to trade it for.

If you want to gets ride of it, name your parts, and we can deal

EDIT: doing your on powdercoating rocks. Im working on something right now to save myself some money on the next bike.

Corey this thing looks killer. A truly beautifully done piece of machine work. It will be sometime before this even hits my motor as the motor will be built lastly on my build. I have to thank you again for your continued investment in the trike community. Your hard work and skills shine brilliantly in your work.

Ronnie I got a big nasty goody box from you too. The triple cap looks damn good along with footpeg pins and the other items! I will have something in BLUE for you in the near future

What to do about an axle? I would like to go wider than stock. Maybe +4? By the looks of things it will be a banshee axle. Is this a direct swap? Stock rotor and hub for sprocket fits fine? G-force, Durablue, RPM dominator, lonestar? Whats a guy to do? What would you buy? Post up links as well.

Yeah your telling me. I totally dig that blue. It would be killer. But I always loved the 85.5 colors. I plan on going with a stock swinger in powdercoated white to mimic the westcoast. That switch was not selling, no one was bidding so i shot the seller a message and asked him to throw a buyitnow for 35 bucks and he did it. Thanks for the info and help Mike.
