Well, starting to look at motor ideas and so on. Ronnie will be doing my cylinder port work. I will be running a sprock coolhead w/interchangeable domes. Looking to wake my Z up with a bigger carb. What do you Z guys think is best bang for the buck? PWK 39mm or 38mm AIRSTRYKER?
you should keep it stock. more reliable.
Negative, nothing stock about this thing. Besides, if i have trouble with it....DR. RAFFA's Tri-Z Emergency Room is only an hour a way!
LOL....cheaper too!
whatever you do hurry up! Can't wait to see this badboy.
Im running a 39pwk on my race bike,38 pj on my trail bike. I would go with a PWK..it smoothed out the light switch effect
When you ask the MAN he delievers. Thanks Bryan.
ronnie ran that carb on the mantis also.. what ever you get make shure its as big as a 38
what about one of those lectron carbs? anyone ever use one. I guess you don't have to jet them.
Well finally got my rear tires and mounted them up this weekend. Went with the classic turf tamers 20x11x9 on some ITP wheels. They are 4x110mm bolt patern. The hubs I am running are the PARTS UNLIMITED Yamaha spline/Honda bolt pattern hubs (PN#144512). They are cast aluminum and run about $60 bucks a pop. I powdered these with Super Mirror white powdercoat.
I decided to mock up the front end of the Z as well. The forks have been completely rebuilt with OEM bolts, seals, and etc. They have also been outfitted with Progressive suspension and some 15wt. BelRay fork oil. Fork legs done in epoxy gloss black powder. Front hub done in Super Mirror White powder. Front hub has ALLBALLS bearings and Ronnie's stainless nuts and washers. Also running Ronnie's front stainless axle and spacers.
I decided to go with a G-FORCE banshee axle +4 and a PWK39 carburetor. Those will be in next week.
