    newbee here!

    Hello, i just joined not to long ago and figered i would say hi! and post some photos of the ACT i am working on.


    here is my 79' honda 110























    and i have some Q's.

    i got that about a year and 1/2 ago. i have just gotting arownd to working on it, but it has no spark, that would be the coil right? and it hasnt run for who know how long, so is there any thing i should make sure to check befor i put a new coil on and try to start it?

    second i knowticed your forks are bent

    if you need a new set pm me i have an extra pair of forks for a 79 110
    83 250r current project
    85 250sx no spark and hating it
    79 atc110 needs topend

    Ditto on the points, clean them with some fine sandpaper and set them to .014" or so should be good, dont know the exact specs for the bike. Aside from the rear plastic it looks like a good solid machine.

    them 90's 110s an 125s didnt fare well with plastics over time

    i put a new spark plug in it.

    they dont look bent to me... it could be the photos. (i have the front wheel turned to the right a bit in the photos)



    check the points
    i looked the points over and they look clean and that... il take a look again, and if you want i can take some photos of the points for you.

    Looks like you have a solid machine to start with. On the spark issue, check the coil wire, plug cap, wire harness, and grounding points. Those things can rot over time and produce a weak spark, if any at all.

    id clean up the ground and reset the points. thats all my brothers 90 needed.
    down to parts because i no longer have a place to ride trikes.

    on one of my 110s my plug wire was bad I grabbed another worked great. My 185s had a bad pick up.
    30 trikes of all shapes and sizes, Kawasakis, Yamahas, Hondas and a bunch of parts bikes

    occasionally the kill switch shorts out, but that's not probable.

    As we say on Ebay... Great shape for a 28 year old bike!!!

    Do you have an ohm meter? If not id look into buying one, also get a repair manual, they are worth their weight in gold, maybee someone with a scanner can send you a copied copy of one if you dont have much funds.

    well i cleaned the grounds, and some of the connections and put new points on it and i have some spark! but i needs a new spark plug.

    i am going to be cleaning the carb next, do any of you have a repair manual (is that what they are called?) for the carb? i have never taking apart a carb befor so i really have no clue what to do haha.

    ok, well i worked on it last night and i got it running!, but it will start and idle for about 5 secs then it will rev like hell, what is making it do that?
