    Cheap trike with reverse?

I am thinking about buying a trike to use on a paper route I might be starting this summer. It's a big route and technically I'm supposed to be doing it with my little brother but I know hes gonna slack off half way through the first week and give it up so I don't wanna get stuck doing it all alone and walking or biking the whole thing. I would like to get a trike to do it, and I would like if it has reverse. Can't be too loud and I would really prefer an auto clutch. The trike I was thinking of was the 125m because I thought they had reverse but recently I've heard different, am I wrong? What would be a good trike to use if I do get the job?

The only honda trikes that had reverse were the 250sx, 250ex, and some of the older big reds.

Well don't I feel stupid  ? I don't know where I heard that. I guess I'll look for something else. One of my friends has a 200es Big Red that I didn't know about until today. I doubt he'd sell it and if he did he'd probably want more than I have but at least I can go look at it.

1986/7 ATC125m's had reverse - besides the Big reds and the SX, your only other choice would be a Yamaha 225DR

The Suzuki ALT125 has reverse. I am curious though as to where you live that you will be able to legally drive from house to house on an ATV? Have you checked local laws about it?

    paper route trike

Go with a honda 110. Thats what I had for my first paper route. No reverse, but it did the job. Was quiet and didn't wake the people up early in the morning. Good luck :-D

There was 10 different model's of 3 wheelers mass produced that had reverse:

    1986-87 ATC125m
    1984 200es Big Red
    1985-on 250es
    1985-on 250sx

    1985 Yamaha 200e
    1986 Yamaha 225dr

    Suzuk1 125 and 185 ( All years thru 87 , 3 & 4 wheelers )

    1985 Kawasaki KLT160
    1986 - 87 Kawasaki KLT185

    And let's not forget my Polaris 250r/es Scrambler ( 3 wheeler ).

The TRX125's had reverse. I know I have owned quite a few of them.

To all that have seen "The Wrecker" it is a 1988 model TRX125 and it has reverse. It just so happens to be the Newest ATV I own. Not one crack in the fenders either ( Hidden Joke ).

Thanks for all the replies. I don't really need to worry bout driving an ATV in town, because most people in my town don't care as long as you don't drive in their yard. Plus we got rid of the local cop a few months ago because all they did when they were in town was sit up by the high school, or next to the Legion Hall and eat doughnuts and sleep. I think I will go with the TRX 125 because I've seen several people on here that have them that they want to get rid of. You guys are sure that ALL TRX 125s had reverse? Of course the ATV would need lights too at about 5:30-6:00 am, unless I just put on a lot of reflectors, LOL.

Hey Howdy, do you have a TRX 125 that you'd sell cheap? Real cheap, like between 100-300 bucks or so. I know a few guys had them for sale but they same to have disappeared lately. . .

I wished I had a few of them. I don't feel bad at all parting out a golf cart ( quad ) on EBay. I make good money on them.

Now that's dang funny! I was about to chime in that I have a ALT125 in my garage now... it has reverse and I'm not too sure howlong I want it in there... If I have this many problems with the Yamaha Yellow Banana's, I'm sure messing with a Suzuki would REALLY drive me over the edge!
