2 nice tri-zs special editions

2 nice tri-zs. the guys say their special editions. i dont know tri-zs, so are they special editions?

To mu knowledge there is no such thing. They are both a mixture of parts from different years.

I'v never heard of any special additions either. Look like regular Zs to me with painted frames and new seat covers.

I hate too disagree,85 1/2 or the all black tri-z is the special edition.

The yellow and black was to be 84 model but was not completed in time.

The black tri-z was going to be 85 model but with the delay the had to releast both models at the same time.

when you order decals for 851/2 they come up special edition.

most yamaha special editions are black remember the 2001 raptor.

My special edition YFZ is yellow. I know a lot about the Z's history, but that is a new one me. It sounds reasonable.

I work for a top 100 yamaha dealer. There are indeed special editions. The yfz was yellow for special edition. The 85.5 was a special edition in black and red. The raptors, banshee's and blasters also have special editions. some may remember the black banshee with silvery blue flames. that was a special edition. I have alot of promotion material if you would like to see more about yamaha and there special editions

the black 225 dx's in 1984 were a specail edition also. each dealer was only aloud 3 each.

my dad wanted to buy one new at the dealer back in the day. but he was to late anther guy put a down payment on it so he had to get a yellow one without reverse
