    Question How do i......

    How would i go about changind fork oil seals in a 85' 200x. Thats the only thing thing ive found wrong with it so far and i need to know how to do it. Pics would be nice. Thanks.

    get a manual. just because your seals are bad does not me the bushings and good in there. with forks that old i would rebuild the entire forks, not just the seals.

    .That would be the better way to go because it will probably extend the full life of the forks. Thanks for the advice

    Remove fork caps, remove springs, drain all of the oil out, Remove every bolt you see on the fork tube bottom, use a knife to remove the dust slider, remove the circlip under the slider (I used a long screw to remove the circlip), then PULL on the fork tubes. Put it in a vice and pull it HARD. The seal should slide out after a few pulls. Just put the seal on the fork tube and slide it back in how it was and replace everything.
