    my flattracker....

    well here it is its about done...needs a chain /sprockets ,Shift lever, a carb and all of the cables...i got a bearing carrier on the way if any one has a CHEAP SEAT let me know please OH!!! if any one knows how to get the shifter on it PLEASE let me know!!!! its an 82 motor with the long shaft! ( i cant afford a new shift shaft at the tune of 150 bux from honda)

    It must be a flat tracker since it has a flat tire!

    As for the shifter I would either custom bend a universal shifter or cut the shaft and pin the shifter in place where it is supposed to be. What ever you do, don't weld it. There is enough of that BS going around already.

    well its just flat from sitting and its not stripped...the 83/4 had a longer shift shaft. and i heard u could cut the frame?

    the only advise I have on the shifter is cut the shaft and weld the shifter on . I wouldnt advise cutting the frame just to fit a shifter, just find a junk '83 motor

    The previous owner did just that on my R, to use an 81-82 shift shaft. He cut a chunk out and welded angle iron to the frame. It's pretty stout, but a hack job by even my standards.
